Marnellie & Scott

Portland, Oregon

Marnellie, Scott, and I played in band class together in high school. Scott and I played trombone, Marnellie played the marimba (or something similar). Photographing their wedding reminded me of all those times during band practice, when Marnellie would catch me copying Scott’s trombone slide positions on the really hard songs (like Mission Impossible or Chariots of Fire!). She was nice enough not to tell Mr. Torres the truth: that Brandon was dragging the entire band down, and should probably switch to choir. I still don’t know how I made it past that band audition. Eastern Washington wedding photographer legend, Bryan Aulick, joined me in photographing Marnellie and Scott’s big day. Less than half of these photos are his.
